| Jimmy Stevenson's first airplane flight was in a Cessna C172
while sightseeing over Savannah, Ga. with his wife to be Robyn
and her uncle who is a pilot. His second flight not much
later was in a Gulfstream II business jet while he was working
for Gulfstream American Corporation as a draftsman. In
1979 at the age of 19, after those two flights Jimmy signed
up for flight training with the company flying club and
since that time has flown aircraft ranging from a 1943 Stearman
to Lear Jets. In 1990, he started flying with Rosie O'Grady's
Flying Circus where he learned to Skywrite and tow banners.
After ten years and many hours spent flying banners over Orlando,
Jimmy completed the purchase of the "Flying Circus"
and continues the Orlando tradition started by Bob Snow in 1974.
As the new owners, Jimmy and his wife Robyn formed Rosie
O'Grady's Aerial Advertising Company and provides aerial advertising
offering banners, billboards, and skywriting the same way it
has been done over Orlando for more than 20 years. |
